Q: What does this cost?
A: Cost to attend this course is based on organization size: Organizations with 1-4 paid staff: $500 Organizations with 5+ staff: $750
Scholarships may be available based on need, please reach out if you are interested in a scholarship. Cohort members have the option to add personalized one-on-one coaching for an additional cost upon request.
Q: What is the time commitment?
A: Courses will happen weekly for roughly 16 weeks. Every 4th week will be a conversation-based, "office hours" style session to respond to your questions and challenges. Each session will be live, virtual, and no longer then 2 hours long. The schedule will be set based on combined availability of the attendees. Q: Who is this for?
A: Mobile Market 101 covers everything you need to know in order to plan and launch a mobile market. This course is most relevant for individuals and organizations planning to launch a mobile market in the next year. They typically, but not always, have some amount of funding and/or organizational support in hand. There have also been Mobile Market 101 attendees that have been running a market for less than 2 years or are re-evaluating their model. Individuals or organizations that have been running mobile markets for years may already be familiar with the majority of the course content. Current operators that have recently completed Mobile Market 101 report finding value in the course as an opportunity to refresh and rethink their model.

Q: What is Mobile Market Operator Certification
A: Mobile Market 101 participants who complete all curriculum requirements will become a Certified Mobile Market Operator. Certified Mobile Market Operators will be professionally trained in the field of mobile market planning and operation and:
Be knowledgeable about the best practices and opportunities for mobile market planning and management
Be equipped to manage common challenges of mobile market work
Be prepared to best serve the food needs of their communities and create a sustainable market model
Be prepared to leverage this certification for funding and support for their mobile market
Requirements for Certification during this pilot may include:
Attend Mobile Market 101 live sessions at a rate of 80% or better
Complete one 5-minute presentation to the MM101 Cohort on an agreed-upon topic during the course
Complete pre- and post-course evaluation
This Certification program encourages professional development and leadership skills in our field. The Certificate acknowledges to supporters, shoppers, and funders that the mobile market operator is a trained professional.
