The University at Buffalo is seeking a Communications and Outreach Coordinator to support our mission of creating equitable and just food systems. We are home of the Mobile Market Coalition (MMC), a national network of practitioners, researchers, funders, and policymakers advancing mobile produce markets as essential infrastructure for a responsive and resilient food system in which everyone has access to healthy food. We support organizations interested in starting or expanding mobile market programs by providing technical assistance, fostering collaboration, advancing research, and supporting advocacy initiatives. Locally, we are developing a campus-based mobile market program to not only address student nutrition insecurity, but to also create a living lab that provides social entrepreneurship opportunities for students and allows for further development and testing of mobile market innovations. We are looking for a Communications & Outreach Coordinator that would develop and implement comprehensive outreach strategies to amplify the initiatives of the Mobile Market Coalition, nationally and regionally. More, this position would not only work on the ground helping to build our University at Buffalo campus based mobile market, but also provide hands on technical assistance to organizations looking to start or strengthen mobile market programs. Ideally this position would be filled by one person, based in Buffalo, NY but we are open to bringing in 2 part-time individuals.
