Our 4th annual Summit was held in-person at the University at Buffalo (Buffalo, New York) with a virtual option available as well. The Mobile Market Summit is a convening built for those operating or planning to open mobile produce markets, as well as researchers, funders, and supporters of mobile market work. Mobile Market Summit 2022 Information
Registration
In-person attendance is limited to 75 attendees. The registration for in-person attendance will be open until the limit is reached. There will not be a limit on the number of virtual attendees. IN PERSON REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.
Venue
The Mobile Market Summit will be held at the beautiful University at Buffalo Center for Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences. The address for the location is: 701 Ellicott St, Buffalo, NY 14203
Virtual Option
All are welcome to join our community virtually for the entirety of Mobile Market Summit, utilizing the Whova platform. All sessions will be live streamed and you will still be able to ask questions and network with other attendees, both in-person and virtual.

Schedule
The Summit will have live sessions from 11:00am-5:00pm EDT on Tuesday March 29 and Wednesday March 30. There may be field trips or off-site visits for in-person attendees on the morning of March 30.
Agenda
As we continue to navigate the ongoing pandemic and respond to subsequent changes in our food system, this year's Summit will include topics showing that Mobile Markets are a critical piece of food infrastructure. Sessions will cover such themes as metrics, fundraising, policy and advocacy, emerging technology, customer retention, food as medicine, and more. Below you can view our schedule of events. Keynote Address

As mobile markets have responded to the Covid-19 pandemic, our role as critical food system infrastructure has only become more evident. Join us at the Mobile Market Summit where our Keynote Speaker, Lauren Clay, PhD, MPH will share her presentation titled “Disasters and Disruptions: Consequences and opportunities for food systems and food security.” She has research experience in individual, household, and community recovery from disaster. She currently has several studies looking at food access and security during the COVID-19 pandemic, along with the effects of natural disasters including Hurricane Katrina and the Camp Fire.

Lauren Clay is an Associate Professor and Department Chair of the Department of Emergency Health Services at University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Her research focuses on individual, household, and community recovery from disasters. She has studied Hurricanes Katrina, Sandy, Harvey, Florence, and Laura, the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill, the 2013 Moore, OK tornadoes, and the Camp Fire among other disasters and public health emergencies. Her expertise is in disaster disruption to the local food environment and food insecurity. Currently, she has several studies underway examining long-term recovery and public health impacts from Hurricane Katrina, food insecurity following Hurricane Florence and the Camp Fire, and several studies looking at food access and security during the COVID-19 pandemic. She co-chairs the national Healthy Eating Research (a program of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation)/Nutrition and Obesity Prevention Research and Evaluation Network (funded by CDC) COVID-19 Food & Nutrition Working Group and is a Data Ambassador for the NSF-funded Natural Hazards Engineering Research Infrastructure DesignSafe-Cyber Infrastructure cloud computing space for big data. From 2018-2020 she was an Early Career Research Fellow with the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine Gulf Research Program to study the post-disaster food environment. In 2021, she was awarded a National Science Foundation CAREER award focused on bolstering food system resilience to disasters and a USDA award to develop a disaster food security scale. She has a PhD in Disaster Science and Management from University of Delaware and a Master of Public Health from Drexel University.
Food
Lunch and snacks will be provided both days. Additionally, a light breakfast will be provided on Wednesday March 30. Accommodations will be made for dietary restrictions.

The venue is on the University at Buffalo campus, and we will follow University guidance and requirements. You can see the latest University updates here.

The closest airport is Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF). Public Transportation in addition to ride-share such as Uber or Lyft is available to get to the downtown venue and lodging.
